History of Stourbridge Croquet Club

Stourbridge Croquet Club has been in existence since 1968 and its Inaugural General Meeting was held in October of that year.

In 1969 it became affiliated to the Croquet Association. In 1971 the Club won the Apps Award for a club making the greatest contribution to croquet during that year.

In 1972 one of our members won the Robin Hood Gold Cup and in 1973 the club won the Longman Cup and had its first Clubhouse erected.

In 2016 the club was provided with a new Clubhouse funded by a Heritage Lottery Grant that was awarded for the improvement in the Park surroundings.
